Maltese

The Maltese dates back over 28 centuries to the Mediterranean races. They have been tracked back to the Roman governor of Malta during Apostle Paul’s time. The Greeks erected tombs to their Maltese. They have a beautiful silky type, non-shedding hair coat that is beautifully bright white (with light tan or lemon on the ears acceptable). Their traits are to be gentle-mannered, affectionate, and eager to please. Favored size is under 7 pounds, however overall quality is to be more important than size. Of all the breeds we raise, I feel the Maltese have a hair coat that is the most pleasing to the touch.
